The 4297 V-Plex Loop Isolation/Extender Module offers dual benefits for commercial applications. As an isolation module, the 4297 allows installers to group selected zones on one loop. For example, fire and burglary zones may be grouped separately; essentially isolating one from another. This isolation feature prevents failure in one loop from compromising the integrity of any other loop. The 4297 Module also gives installers the flexibility to extend system-wide wiring capability, from approximately 4000 ft to 8000 ft., without the added expense of additional hardware or control panels.

The 4500 thermostat provides control for both heat and air conditioning. It is intended for use with Honeywell security systems that include the enhanced 4286 phone module. You can set the 4500 thermostat using any touch-tone phone, either on premises or remotely. The 4500 thermostat is not a replacement for the existing thermostat, which remains in the installation, but can be selected to provide a “set-back” function whenever the system is in the “ARMED AWAY” mode. The existing thermostat controls premises temperature while the security system is “DISARMED”, or in “ARMED STAY” mode.

An important benefit of combined climate control and security is potential energy cost savings. During the heating season, you can “set-back” the 4500 thermostat for times when you are away from home by putting the security system in the “ARMED AWAY” mode. Our set-back feature lets you turn down the thermostat when the house is empty automatically, when you arm the security system in the “ARMED AWAY” mode. During the cooling season, you can set the 4500 thermostat for a higher temperature than the existing thermostat for times when you are away from home, to save on cooling costs by putting the security system in the “ARMED AWAY” mode. In both cases you can call home to adjust the set-back temperature that is in effect while the system is in the armed away mode.

The LED's may also be used to annunciate other functions like monitoring door, critical equipment, etc.

A maximum of 4 FSA modules, in any combination, can be supported by the system. Each FSA module must use the ECP Bus, keypad-type protocol, and can support up to 24 LEDs dependent upon model selection. In addition, the FSA module provides power and system status with LEDs and control via Silence/Reset and Test buttons. An optional Fire System Annunciator Keyswitch Module (FSAKSM) is available to function in a manner similar to the Silence/Reset button of the FSA module. The difference between the Silence/Reset button and the FSAKSM is that when installed, the FSAKSM will unconditionally Silence and then Reset the Fire Partition, while the Silence/Reset button can be restricted from silencing or resetting the fire alarm system (dependent upon program selection. See “RST FIRE PTN”).

Since the ECP bus is used to connect the VISTA control to the FSA modules, any supported VISTA keypad may be located in proximity to the FSA module connecting to the same ECP bus. The maximum FSA system will consist of 4 FSA modules, 4 Keyswitch modules, and 4 keypads.
