N-485-API-2 Communication Interface Use of the N-485 interfaces will increase communication speed as well as data integrity. For those high security applications involving supervised communications, an N-485 interface is a must.
The N-485-API-2 (Access Control Panel Interface) provides an RS485 communications interface to your existing N-1000-II. The N-485-API-2 interface converts the 20mA current loop supplied by the N-1000-II to an RS485 signal which can be used on the multi-drop line. Northerns RS485 multi-drop line can support usp to 31 RS485 nodes per COM port system.
The N-485-PCI-2 and N-485-HUB-2 interfaces convert RS485 to RS232, and both come with plug-in power supply. The N-485-PCI-2 is used at the computer for a direct connect system. The N-485-HUB-2 is utilized with an auto-dial modem at a remote location.

The Model 17A00-1 Expansion Enclosure adds sixteen voltage outputs for control and sixteen inputs for additional security/fire zones, auxiliary or temperature inputs. The 17A00-1 can be mounted up to 1000 feet from the main controller and has its own power supply and battery. It reduces wiring use in larger installations. It is commonly used for sprinkler systems, control of pumps, motors, remote control circuit breakers, and additional security/fire zones. Up to four Expansion Enclosures can be used in conjunction with the HAI Lumina Pro, OmniPro, or OmniPro II home control system. Optional Model 19A00-1 8-Relay Module and Model 10A07-1 4-Relay Module mount in the enclosure. It comes with a lock set with two keys.

The GSMVLP is an optional communication module
intended for use with Lynx Plus Series Series controls, and provides
wireless communication with the AlarmNet network for backup delivery of
alarm and other messages to the monitoring central station. It also
supports voice communications between the control panel and the Central
Station.
This communication module transmits signals via the AlarmNet-G
network (GSM cellular network), using GPRS and forwards them to your
Central Station. If the GPRS network is unavailable, the GSMVLP will attempt to send the transmission via SMS.
