The D370-series electromagnetic door holders are rugged die-cast devices for holding doors. The D370B (brass) and D370C (chrome) holders are for wall-mounted applications and may be flushmounted to standard single gang backboxes or surface-mounted to the D372B and D372C backboxes. The D372 backboxes are plated boxes that compliment the finish of the D370 electromagnet component that mounts in them. They may be wired through knockouts in the back or the sides. The D371-series door holders are floor-mounted units, complete with plated backbox and bracket and all fasteners needed for standard installation. The D371 backbox also has knockouts for conduit installation other than from the bottom.

Application: These electromagnetic door holders allow control of doorways in alarm conditions. Typical applications are in stairways or other exit pathways where it is desirable to restrict airflow yet allow free emergency access.
