VIDOS Server is the powerful heart for professional IP security, video surveillance and alarm management solutions. In combination with VIDOS clients, it enables users to manage and operate complex client/server applications. VIDOS Server ensures that these mission critical applications use full server redundancy to maintain extremely high levels of reliability. As part of the VIDOS Pro Software Suite, VIDOS Server allows centralized management and control in a hierarchical structure. This enables an administrator to set different authorisation levels or privileges for user groups that are the basis for all VIDOS clients and users for access to configuration, live viewing, PTZ control, recording and retrieval.
A VIDOS Server can be configured to be master server and/or user server, which has the purpose to provide a single central location for all users and user groups. Both configuration types may be backed-up by other servers configured as backup servers.
A VIDOS Server can also have connections to other master servers, thus enabling CCTV system designers to create complex, far-reaching and redundant surveillance networks with still a unique configuration throughout the system.
Together with the other powerful components in the VIDOS Pro Software Suite, including the Configuration Manager, VIDOS, VIDOS Lite Viewer, Archive Player and Exporter and VIDOS Monitor Wall applications, it is ideally suited for CCTV applications of any scale.
VIDOS Server is available as software that can be licensed to support a virtually unlimited number of users. It can be installed on a VIDOS client workstation and, depending on the performance required, run in the background of VIDOS client, or on a stand-alone server. For added convenience there is also a choice of pre-configured hardware solutions.
