The ComNet FDX53 Series data transceiver supports bi-directional data transmission over one multimode or single mode optical fiber. The transceiver is universally compatible with RS-232, RS-422, and 2-wire and 4-wire RS-485 data interfaces and all major data protocols. The transceiver is also transparent to data encoding, and is compatible with the FDX54 and FDX56 series data transceivers. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation requiring no electrical or optical adjustments. Bi-color (Red/Green) LED indicators are provided for rapidly ascertaining equipment operating status. These units are interchangeable between stand-alone or card mount configurations.
