Essex Piezoelectric switches are heavy duty, timed electronic switches with a new & improved weatherproof design. With two outputs and an adjustable output time, these vandal resistant switches can be used to control an automatic door, electric lock/strike, magnetic lock or any electrically controlled device. Essex Piezoelectric Switches feature jumper selectable illumination status. Brilliant red, vibrant green or no illumination can be selected to show relay ON or relay OFF status. Illumination can also be controlled externally.

* Important Note: Due to the electrical design of Essex Piezoelectric Switches, they will not operate without power. Backup power (i.e. UPS – Uninterruptible Power Supply) is required for operation during a power interruption. Some local building or fire safety regulations may limit the use of exit buttons. Consulting with local officials and getting approval is recommended prior to installing exit buttons. Contact Essex technical support for wiring suggestions.
