The DVS772 DIGITAL VIDEO SWITCH is a high isolation high frequency relay used to switch digital signals such as SMPTE 310 and SDTV signals up to 270Mbit rate. The switch has two inputs and one output in an A/B configuration. The switching function is controlled by an external switch contact, RS232, or TTL type signal.
It also has the ability to sense signal loss on the A channel and automatically switch to the B channel. This feature is used when automatic transfer to an alternate channel is desired. There are no active elements in the data path to degrade the signal, and if a power failure occurs the data from the A channel will not be interrupted.
The unit comes equipped with a front panel selector switch. The operator can select the data switch to Channel A, Channel B, or Remote operation. When the front panel switch is in the Remote operation position, the unit is controlled by an external input signal or by signal loss on the A Channel if selected. Normal, Inverted, and Toggle control is field programmable.
 "C" form relays output to report the position of the A/B switch for remote telemetry. The unit has BNC female connectors for the data inputs and output and a removable screw terminal connector for the power and control signals. The switch is housed in a sturdy aluminum die cast box which is completely RF shielded. The box can be mounted in the front or rear of your rack with the standard side mounting bracket
This device controls and corrects four channels of CCTV video, each channel is separately adjustable for Video Level and Picture Sharpness. A built-in active ground loop blocker removes the 60 Cycle Bars from the CCTV signal even after they have become part of the video signal. This ground loop isolator will prevent 60 Cycle "Hum Bars" from degrading your twisted pair wire CCTV system.
The Level control can be adjusted to overcome losses due to long wire runs up to 3000 feet, small wire gage or quality, and improper camera source terminations. The Picture Sharpness control can be used to restore Picture quality to its original sharpness due to long wire runs, poor quality twisted pair wire or wire used in wet locations in twisted pair "Balun" transmission installations. It will also restore the video color-burst on a color camera to improve color camera operation on long wire runs. This device will prevent Ghosting in the picture by absorbing and eliminating the reflected video Ghost signal. It will also restore the Characteristic Impedance of the down stream video signal to prevent secondary Ghosting in the picture.
 An optional secondary 75 Ohm "BNC" connector video distribution output is included. This lets the installer add an extra monitor point or drive any other video equipment without affecting the original video signal. By installing the GB464-UTP in your existing CCTV system you can avoid the many hours of troubleshooting and trial/error associated with problem installations.
For some installations it is recommended to install a GB464-UTP on each group of four channels. It is especially useful in installations requiring lightning protection. Lightening protection devices often induce 60 cycle bars into the video signal because they use a connection to ground that does not equal the video ground at the monitor

The SDI MASTER is a digital, hand-held, battery operated meter that measures six characteristics of High Definition and Standard Definition digital television signals. Use it for fast and accurate set-up and verification of levels, slope-loss and return loss on any SDI (Serial Digital Interface) Digital Television Signal.
This meter is a must have for anybody working with digital TV to measure data signal amplitudes at all points in your system. A low or high data level can contribute to poor overall performance of your digital system. Unknown, incorrect levels can cause intermittent data delivery. All the levels in and out of your digital equipment can be checked and verified for proper operating level.
The Equalization measurement of the meter will show you the cable slope loss anywhere in your system. These measurements will point out losses that contribute to high Bit Error Rate and corruption of the data. You can use this measurement to balance the placement of any data amplifiers and Re-clocking amplifiers to reduce Jitter and the Bit Error Rate induced by that Jitter.
The Terminations in a digital signal path are critical. Do you know what they are? This meter will measure the terminations at the end of any path, to give you reassurance that your terminations are not causing troublesome return loss, a direct cause of data errors. The VLS771-2 VIDEO LOSS SWITCHER is an automatic 2X1 Stereo audio follow video switching system that reacts to the loss of Horizontal Sync pulses. This device monitors the Primary video source and switches both video and Left and Right Stereo balanced audio sources to the secondary when the primary video signal ceases. The unit switches back to the primary channel when the video returns.
The unit will work in high video noise environments like the output of satellite receivers. The unit can be used to engage a hot standby source or to put up a test pattern when main video fails. This system will maintain your video and stereo audio integrity and reduce trouble calls. It can also be used where unattended video switching must occur. Features of the VLS771-2 include a front panel three position command switch which is used to manually force either primary, secondary, or automatic video and audio switching. FM System VLTG-800 Video Line Test Generator FM System VTG Video Timing Generator
The VLTG-800 Video Line Test Generator creates a standard NTSC video signal that can be observed on a Monitor to display a series of vertical lines that defines the maximum number of "lines of definition" that the CCTV system is capable of displaying. The Generator creates eight groups of lines, ranging from 100 to 800 lines. By observing which groups of lines are crisp and clear and which groups are blurred and indistinguishable, the maximum number of "Lines Of Definition" may be easily determined.
The VLTG-800 test generator can be used to establish overall CCTV system quality level as well as to identify components or sections of the system that do not meet system objectives. When the VLTG-800 is used together with the CM-1 Camera Master a very accurate system alignment can be obtained using Equalizer / Amplifier Senders and Receivers to flatten the frequency response of the coaxial cable or twisted pair wires connecting the camera to the monitor location.
The CM-1 Camera Master can measure both the low and high frequency loss of the transmission facility. The Sync Pulse amplitude measures the low frequencies while the Color Burst measures the high frequencies. The LEVEL control of the Equalizer/Amplifier is used to set the Sync Pulse to 40 I.R.E. Units while the Sharpness control of the Equalizer/Amplifier is used to set the Color Burst to 40 I.R.E. Units. When both controls are set to 40/40 Units the system is equalized to the best possible picture transmission quality.
 The ability of a Monitor to display fine picture detail can be measured by connecting the VLTG-800 directly to a terminated Monitor while observing the highest number of lines that are clearly observable. This will establish the finest detail that a particular Monitor can display. A higher quality Monitor must be employed if higher picture quality is required VLTG-800
The ability of a Recorder to reproduce picture detail can be measured by recording the VLTG-800 signal and playing it back into the Monitor while noting any loss of "lines" compared to direct connections to the Monitor. In overall system tests, any part of the system may be "swapped-out" or by-passed to identify degraded or defective components.
When the CCTV system has been equalized to the best possible transmission, the highest number of "lines of definition" measured at the Monitor will also indicate the highest number of "lines of definition" that any camera can deliver to the Monitor. A Camera with higher "lines of definition" will not improve the picture quality if the Monitor cannot reproduce the increased "lines of definition".
By measuring the capability of each part of the CCTV system you can properly match the equipment to produce the highest Picture Definition for your money. When a customer asks for improved picture quality on an existing system, you can determine which part of the system is limiting the picture definition and replace only that equipment
The VTG Video Timing Generator provides up to ten video sync signals with which to synchronize CCTV cameras in the field. The VTG is intended to be used with the VTM Video Timing Meter to establish accurate timing of multiple CCTV cameras.
A designated "Master Camera" is connected to the input of the VTG at the monitor Hub Sita. Up to ten coaxial cables leading to the other cameras are than connected to the VTG output connectors. At this point a video sync pulse, locked to the Master Camera, is being sent on the coax to each camera. The VTM meter is then taken to each camera and the signal on the coax is compared to the camera output. The VTM then measures the timing error of that camera and the camera is adjusted to reduce that error to zero. The VTM is then taken to each camera in turn and set to zero. The cameras are connected to their coax cables and the VTQ removed. The cameras are now all perfectly synchronized so that they may be switched without "rolling" the picture.
Occasional routine tests, using only the VTM to compare camera synchronization at the Hub can be used to verify that synchronization has not been lost due to Electricians changing power phases at the Power Panel.

This is a fast cut-off 5MHz video low pass filter. It is passive and connects to the video cables using two (female) BNC connectors. Use this filter when installing subcarriers onto a video system. This filter will remove RF bars caused by subcarriers on your video.
The Audio Combining Amplifier takes two inputs and combines them into one single audio output. It maintains isolation between the original inputs. This is commonly used to combine stereo to mono. The ACA611 Audio Combining Amplifier has one audio output. The output is balanced and floating, so that it can drive either a balanced or an unbalanced load without change of level, such as would occur in a standard balanced, but not floating output. The floating feature is done electronically, without recourse to output transformers.
The output may be adjusted over a 6 dB range to trim levels into differing load impedances and line losses, and a master gain control is provided to set overall gain. The output impedance is also very low, so that output levels are not sensitive to load impedance variation. This also insures minimal frequency response variation on long cable runs.

The ADA414 Stereo Audio Distribution Amplifier is a Dual channel Left and Right audio input, 4 audio output per channel distribution amplifier. The inputs and outputs are balanced to provide common mode suppression of hum and 60 cycle ground loops. The unit will accept balanced or un-balanced audio signals.
Each input has 3 field select input ranges and an adjustable front panel control for level setting. The output channels have 3 field select ranges to choose from, -10dBm, 0dBm, and +4dBm APL (Average Program Level). A 10 Segment Dual LED VU meter on the front panel allows the operator to precisely set each input level for the correct APL output. The master level controls on the front panel can be used for periodic adjustment of the system level.
The output impedance is also very low, so that output levels are not sensitive to load impedance variations. This also prevents frequency response variation on long cable runs. The unit is completely compatible with 600 Ohm impedance systems. This audio distribution amplifier can be used to combine a left and right stereo audio channel to form mono while maintaining the stereo separation at the audio input.
The unit can be converted into a single channel mono input, 8 channel output Distribution Amplifier by selecting a jumper on the pc board. This versatility of configuration allows the operator to use the same unit in many different applications. An optional 15,734 Hz or 19,000 Hz notch filter may be ordered to prevent high level video or multiplex artifacts from entering the distribution output.
The ADA612 Audio Distribution Amplifier has two audio outputs. The outputs are balanced and floating, so that each can drive either a balanced or an unbalanced load without change of level, such as would occur in a standard balanced, non-floating output. The floating feature is electronic without the use of transformers. Each output may be individually adjusted to 0dBm, +4dBm, and +8dBm to trim levels into differing load impedances and line losses.

This Program Audio Distribution Amplifier has a balanced high impedance input and balanced and floating outputs designed to drive 600 ohm loads at levels up to +18 dBm. Loads may be either balanced or unbalanced. Up to 10 dB of gain is provided with front control access.
The ALM473 Dual Audio Level Master stabilizes audio volume level by adjusting gain so that the output remains constant when the input level varies wildly. The ALM473 will correct audio level changes over a range of more than 30dB. It has two completely independent control systems so that it can operate as two separate mono audio level controllers. A jumper on the PC Card enables the Audio Level Master to operate in the stereo mode, or as two independent monaural Audio Level Masters.
Each ALM473 card can handle one stereo L/R channel or two monaural audio channels. A program dependent level control system prevents "ducking" of background sound when doors slam or guns go off, and also prevents background sound from becoming louder when foreground speech stops. The Multi-band control system prevents "pumping" in the audio to prevent audio artifacts from being created. This allows the audio Level Master to control the audio levels without adding a sound of its own.
The professional noise gates freeze the audio level when the audio subsides to prevent the "Inrush" of noise when the program is quiet. A dual L.E.D. display indicates the degree of gain control being exerted on each channel. A separate L.E.D. displays the High Frequency limiting for each channel. An L.E.D. display shows the status of each gate. Each of the two channels will control audio input variations over a 32 dB range while holding the output level within 0.5 dB. The output level is field programmable by jumpers on the PC Card. The output level can be set for a balanced -4, 0, +4 dBm and also -10 dBm unbalanced.
The Audio Level Master is a broadcast quality, full professional grade, automatic audio level control system, built with the price and quality conscious audio professional in mind. Each ALM473 card contains one full stereo or two mono channels, and nine cards will fit into one RMS-400 mainframe. The RMS-400 mainframe will hold audio level control for up to 18 monaural channels or 9 stereo channels in just 3 "RU" rack unit spaces. The ALM473 can be used for mono channels and then easily converted to stereo in the field with no re-calibration.
