The Micro/PX-2000 combines the most popular options from the CASI Micro/5 product family into an integrated and self-contained access control and alarm-monitoring panel. The Micro/PX-2000 is the economical choice when the Micro/5 configuration flexibility is not required. The Micro/PX-2000 can co-exist in any combination with Micro/5-PXs in both SP Editions and Picture PerfectTM systems. With Picture Perfect, the Micro/PX-2000 can be downstream from a head-end Micro/5-PXN. System computer to first microcontroller communication is RS232 while microcontroller-to-microcontroller communication is RS422.
Microcontroller Configuration:
The Micro/PX-2000 has 4 reader ports, 10 supervised digital input and 8 relayed digital output points. A circuit breakerprotected 110VAC or 230VAC-transformer supplies power. The Micro/PX-2000 includes a battery back-up power supply and gel-cell battery. The all-steel enclosure, with a key-lock and tamper switch protected door, houses the microelectronics, the back-up power battery and optional modem.
Microcontroller Addressing:
The microcontroller address can be set with either four rotary decimal address switches or with the Micro Installation Tool (MicTool). MicTool is used to set up the dial operation phone number.
Flash Memory:
A Micro/PX-2000 can receive microcontroller firmware updates from the host system or from MicTool. The microcontroller firmware is compatible with SP Editions and Picture Perfect Micro/5-PX firmware.
Pluggable Connectors: Screw terminal connector plugs for all wire connections eliminate field maintenance wiring errors, making field service fast and reliable.
Flexible Configuration: Up to seven microcontrollers can be downstream from a head-end Micro/PX-2000. Each group of 8 microcontrollers will support up to a maximum of 64 badge readers.
