The ESL wireless stand-alone smoke alarms are the industry's first wireless smoke alarms with analog features such as remote maintenance/trouble reporting and drift compensation. The 560 family can be used as standalone units or can be listed for use with a transmitter. Model numbers 60-848-95 and 60-849-95 use ITI Learn Mode technology. Learn Mode quickly establishes the unit's identity with the panel. To activate Learn Mode remove the unit from the base, or if the unit is already removed from the base, press and hold the test button until the panel signals the unit's program code has been "learned" in. The ESL Series wireless smoke alarms continually monitor operational status and provide a visual trouble condition if they drift out of the sensitivity range or fail internal diagnostics. The series meets NFPA 72 field sensitivity testing requirements without the need for external meters. The alarm sensitivity level can be determined at the unit. Built-in drift compensation, usually only available in analog systems, allows the alarm to adjust its sensitivity automatically as it becomes dirty over time. This feature dramatically increases the time between cleanings and reduces false alarms. A built-in 85dBa temporal sounder is ideal for residential installations and other occupancies where people are sleeping.
