Honeywell Network IP Cameras
Honeywell's EQUIP Series is an array of IP-based products that have an open architecture platform and utilize a single Application Program Interface (API). The API allows for a common user experience and integration with hybrid Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
The Honeywell HCD554IP True Day/Night Network Camera offers the latest in digital video surveillance. The 1/3" CCD network camera combines world-class imaging and camera technology with the EQUIP Series IP networking technology providing streaming MPEG-4 images in 4CIF, 2CIF, or CIF resolutions with rates up to 30 frames per second (25 fps for PAL systems).
The HCD554IP true day/night camera adapts to varying lighting conditions to ensure the highest picture quality even in extreme low light conditions. When the light level drops too low for accurate video identification in color, the camera moves the IR cut filter out of the optical path and then switches to black and white video to capture more detail using the increased sensitivity of the CCD to IR light. For additional control, the on-board alarm input can be configured to switch the camera from day to night mode to allow synchronization with external lighting.
The HCS554IP has built-in Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), which allows power to be supplied to the camera using the network, eliminating the need for a separate power supply and reducing the cost of installation. For additional installation flexibility the unit can also be powered with 12 VDC or 24 VAC.
Market Opportunities The HCD554IP is a network surveillance solution designed for object recognition that is required in locations where variable and low light conditions exist. Setup is quick and easy and can be customized through a Web client or from an NVR. This provides optimum performance for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Honeywell's HCX series of megapixel cameras offers world-class video and leading-edge IP networking technologies. When object recognition is needed over a vast field of view, one megapixel camera can often do the same job as several standard analog cameras. Megapixel technology increases the effectiveness of your security system by providing greater detailed images while saving on installation and equipment costs.
The HCX13M is a megapixel color network camera that offers up to 1.3 MP (1280 X 1024) with frame rates up to 30 frames per second. It adapts to varying lighting conditions to ensure the highest picture quality even in low-light conditions down to 0.2 lux. User selectable exposure windows optimize video performance in the areas of interest. More detailed viewing can be performed using the digital PTZ control.
The HCX13M network camera includes advanced bandwidth management tools to optimize performance over any network. A built-in Web server provides password protected access to video and network setup. Setup is quick and easy and can be customized through a Web client or from an NVR multi-zone motion detection to trigger motion-based video streaming and privacy zones for blocking portions of the scene that are not to be recorded. An analog output facilitates setup of zoom and focus of the lens using spot monitors and allows easy integration with public view monitors. Choose between 12 VDC/24 VAC power input or PoE 802.3 af for additional installation flexibility.
Market Opportunities The HCX13M provides optimum performance for both indoor and outdoor applications requiring higher resolution over a larger field of view than is available from a high resolution analog camera. Retail and banking industries greatly benefit from using megapixel cameras. When properly positioned, both the full transaction as well as a persons identifying features can be zoomed in to analyze transactions or identify fraud. Other applications include multi-lane driveways, wide lobbies, gated entrances and loading docks.

The HCX5D is a megapixel true day/night network camera with a movable IR cut filter that offers up to 5 MP (2560 X 1920) with frame rates up to 30 frames per second. It adapts to varying lighting conditions to ensure the highest picture quality even in low-light conditions down to 0.05 lux. User selectable exposure windows optimize video performance in the areas of interest. More detailed viewing can be performed using the digital PTZ control.
