The 1261 is adjustable spring sizes 1-5 and mounts to the most common commercial footprint. The CUSH arm is for parallel mounting only and is designed to cushion the door as it opens. This is also called a ''CUSH-N-STOP'' arm because its mounting bracket includes a built in stop.
This arm serves two purposes then.
1] cushions the door as it opens
2] provides a dead stop for the door. If your application is in windy or other abusive conditions, there is also a SCUSH arm available that adds a (S) spring for additional cushioning effect.
