DXS-73 Supervised Photoelectric Smoke Detector Transmitter
Product Number: SST00113
The Model DXS-73 Supervised Photoelectric Smoke Detector Transmitter is a photoelectric smoke alarm with a built-in transmitter designed for use with Linears DXS and DX Format receivers. When smoke is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm. Twenty seconds after the local alarm sounds, the built-in transmitter sends a digitally coded wireless signal to its companion receiver. The wireless signal will be repeated every 20 seconds as long as smoke is still present.
The digital DXS code format features over a million possible codes. The DXS transmitters are precoded at the factory to unique codes, so no field coding is required. The DXS-73 can send three different codes: alarm, test and low battery status.
The unit is powered by a 3-volt lithium battery. The battery is supplied with the transmitter and can power the unit for up to five years. During normal operation, the green status indicator will blink every 10 seconds. Every hour, the DXS-73 will send a status transmission to the receiver. The hourly signal updates the receiver to the transmitters condition. By monitoring status transmissions, the receiver can determine if a transmitter has a low battery or has been removed from the system. If the battery voltage drops below a preset level the alarm will sound low battery beeps, the red indicator will blink every 45 seconds, and a low battery signal will be sent to the receiver with status reports (some receivers can report low battery status, others cannot).

Model SD500-SDM Smoke Detector Module
Requires IntelliKnight Version 6.0
The IntelliKnight can handle new and retrofit installations with ease with the model SD500-SDM.
The SD500-SDM allows you to assign an address to a loop of conventional detection devices. These devices can be dry contacts such as pull stations and heat detectors, or 2-wire smoke detectors. This means you can retrofit an existing building and utilize existing conventional devices. The SD500-SDM uses a 24VDC auxiliary power input to power the conventional loop, and is connected to the SLC loop via two wires. The conventional loop can be configured as Class A or Class B giving you the flexibility to handle any job.

Model SD505-AIS Addressable Ionization Type Smoke Detector
The SD505-AIS has responsive, yet high operational stability for an extremely wide range of uses. The SD505-AIS can be used in areas where early warning of trouble from super-heated or flaming combustibles is expected.
The detector features automatic compensation for contamination and a simple detector sensitivity test procedure that can be run from the panel or remotely (using the IntelliKnight 5590 or 5595 software with a Windows TM based computer).
Operation The SD505-AIS ionization smoke detector has two chambers: a sampling chamber and a reference chamber. Smoke or invisible combustion gases can freely penetrate the sampling chamber, but the reference chamber is virtually closed to prevent easy entry. With both chambers ionized by a single radioactive source, a very small current flows. Presence of visible smoke or invisible gases greatly influences the current flow in the sampling chamber, changing the voltage ratio between the chambers. This difference is amplified inside the detector. After reaching the critical level, the detector triggers into alarm.
The SD505-AIS includes a status LED which blinks approximately every 15 seconds, indicating that the head is communicating with the loop. The status LED lights continuously during the alarm period.
Specifications

Model SD505-APS Addressable Photoelectric Type Smoke Detector
The SD505-APS is particularly suited to detecting dense smoke typical of fires involving materials such as soft furnishings, plastic, foam or other similar materials which tend to smolder and produce large visible smoke particles.
Operation The SD505-APS unit is made up of an LED light source and a silicon photo diode receiving element. In a normal standby condition, the receiving element receives no light from the pulsing light source. In the event of fire, smoke enters the detector and light is reflected from the smoke particles to the receiving element. The light received is converted into an electronic signal. Under normal conditions, the status LED blinks approximately every 15 seconds, indicating that the head is communicating with the loop. The LED lights continuously during the alarm period.
Ambient Temperature: 32°F to 122°F, (0°C to 50°C)
Mounting: 4” SQR, 4” OCT, Single gang mud ring
The SD505DUCT addressable duct smoke detector including the SD505-APS Photoelectric Smoke Sensor is used for detecting smoke and products of combustion present in air moving through HVAC air handling system. When smoke is detected in a duct, the unit communicates the condition to the IntelliKnight control panel. The panel, in turn, depending on programming and wiring, turns off fans, blowers, and other devices. Now there's even more power and flexibility available to the IntelliKnight family of products!
Commercial Fire and Partitioned Burglary Alarm Control Panel
Designed to integrate seamlessly with CCTV, access control, and ADEMCO’s full range of fire and burglary components, the NEW VISTA-128FBP provides the ultimate protection of life and property. The UL listed Commercial Fire and Burglary Control Platform controls up to eight partitions, and supports up to 128 zones/points using hardwired, wireless and V-Plex addressable technologies. A diverse line of ADEMCO initiating devices, notification circuits, digital dialers, keypads, RF receivers and relays are supported by extremely powerful control platform. The VISTA-128FBP has been designed to mount quickly and easily in an attack resistant cabinet, and is available in 12V and 24V models. A revolutionary new feature called Panel Linking allows multiple partitions, panels - even buildings to be armed, disarmed and have status checked from one location.
The ADEMCO 5192 Series low profile, addressable V-Plex smoke detectors deliver state-of the-art features and benefits in a cost-effective package. These detectors are designed to provide open area coverage and are compatible with ADEMCO’s VISTA controls supporting V-Plex technology.
An LED on the detector will blink periodically during normal conditions, remain on steady during alarm and cease to pulse if the chamber is out of acceptable sensitivity range.
An extremely powerful feature available within the 5192 Series is the Automatic Maintenance Alert/Reporting capability - a feature normally found in today’s high end analog addressable systems. The detectors continually monitor their own sensitivity levels in addition to the basic normal and alarm conditions.
These HIGH and LOW SENSITIVITY signals are communicated back to the control, via the V-Plex addressable loop, to indicate locally and at the central station that the detector may not be able to detect smoke or may false alarm. This feature works with Vista-32FB, 128FB, 128B and First Alert Professional FA1600C.
More important is the cost saving associated with Automatic Maintenance Reporting. The feature is an approved alternate to NFPA 72 field sensitivity calibration testing that require external test meters. This eliminates the need to schedule inspections to determine detector sensitivity/viability.
Moreover. the smoke detectors are able to operate on existing wiring. There's no need to run special twisted pair, data grade or shielded wires. That adds up to valuable savings in time and materials!
