The VideoJet 8008 delivers the highest quality real-time video available today. Its advanced hardware engine produces 30 images per second of pure MPEG-4 video in DVD-like quality. This power is further multiplied by incorporating multiple encoders within the single unit, delivering eight full-motion video channels. Each channel generates non-multiplexed video at 30 IPS.
The video can be viewed on a standard PC using the VIDOS video management software or a web browser.
Alternatively, when used in conjunction with a highperformance MPEG-4 hardware decoder (such as the VIP XD), you can create point-to-point hybrid analog/digital solutions. This technology uses the highest quality analog cameras and analog CCTV monitors, but with a pure IP solution in-between.
The VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG-4 encoder features three key recording modes. The simplest mode is continuous ring or linear recording. The alarm-sensitive mode also runs continuously. A pre-/post-alarm option preserves a short segment of video just before and after the alarm. Up to 128 events per camera can be recorded. When the installation is completed with VIDOS video management software, VIDOS can automatically increase the frame rate during the alarm to capture events in detail, while saving capacity on irrelevant footage.
The VideoJet 8008’s internal hard disk records weeks at a time locally, or for more extended recording periods it can use the VIDOS-NVR network video recorder. Such an NVR server has RAID5 disk arrays attached for maximum fault tolerance and a storage capacity of over 36 TB.
The VideoJet 8008 with its Dual Streaming technology can encode the video input signal in two different ways in parallel. For example in 4CIF resolution with 1 IPS for recording, and in CIF with 25 IPS for live viewing at a workstation with software decoder or a hardware monitor.
Depending on the application, other combinations are also possible.
Audio models provide a single bidirectional audio channel that can be connected to one out of the 8 available video channels and, due to built-in amplifiers, directly to drive speakers and to a Siedle TLM611 intercom device. Audio input and output can be selected independently from each other, for example listening to channel 3 while talking through channel 8.
The VideoJet 8008 is powerful enough to simultaneously allow MPEG-4 live viewing, recording and playback or backup. The VIP 10 features S-VHS quality MPEG-4 video at up to 30 fps and two-way audio over IP networks. Supporting PAL / NTSC and CCIR /EIA sources it is available in two models, either as an encoder or decoder.
The video signal can be received and displayed with a standard web browser or VIDOS video management software. Using a decoder you can integrate point-to-point connections into your system to display video from any camera on your analog monitors.
