The Pelco CM9700-UTP16-AUS Active Receiver (16-Channel), designed exclusively for use in USA, receives live video over UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. It includes 1 video ribbon cable connector, which can be used to connect the unit to the CM9780-MXB Matrix Bay. The receiver can also be connected to a TW4001P passive transceiver, TW3001AT active transmitter, and CC3710 / CC3610 UTP Cameras.
Thanks to the adaptive technology, the active receiver provides high-quality video transmission (depending on cable length) as it automatically adjusts the low, medium, and high frequency components of the video signal, thus eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
While Cat5e and Cat6 cable yield optimum results, Cat3 and Cat5 cables are effective over shorter distances. Providing full motion color/B&W video up to 4000' (1219m) with Cat5e or Cat6, the receiver supports Coaxitron control (PTZ control signals) up to 750' (228m).
Each of the 16-channel in the receiver has a dedicated dial and LED. The dial is used for selecting cable distances whereas the LED indicates UTP video signal activity - green for live video input, red for inactive video, and amber for transmission of Coaxitron PTZ control commands in progress.
The active receiver has 16 BNC connectors, 4 RJ-45 video input connectors for connecting to TW3016-PATCH1 patch panel. In addition, a 5mm barrel power connector for desktop use is provided, and the 6-pin Molex power connector can be used for multi-unit installation with the rack-mountable external power supply. The EPS5000-120TW provides redundant power to the unit. The 1 RU high receiver can be mounted on a standard 19" rack.
