The Pelco DF8AJ1V3A In-ceiling Fixed Mount Dome (Clear, 3-8mm, Auto Iris) consists of C10CH-6 Color camera, an in-ceiling back box, a black opaque dome with a Clear window, and a 3-8mm varifocal auto iris lens.
The plenum-rated aluminum-constructed in-ceiling back box secures the camera. With the 5.2" (13.2cm) of overhead space above the ceiling, the camera can be securely fit in hard ceilings or standard 2 x 2' (61 x 61 cm) suspended ceilings. The black opaque dome with smoked window ensures high optical clarity and causes f/0.7 light loss.
With an ultra-high resolution of 540TVL, the C10CH-6 Digital CCD Color Camera has a 1/3? CCD imager. A minimum illumination of 0.3 lux makes the camera suitable for low-level night time surveillance. The compact camera has a standard CS lens mount, and can be used with fixed, manual, or auto iris (DC or video drive) lenses.
Area masking, titling, pixel correction, and preset lighting profiles can be selected through the on-screen menu, using the side joystick. Automatic gain control adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level. Backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light source. Auto white balance takes a standard white color reference to adjust the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors to produce good quality images in different light conditions. The analog eclipser function allows the lens to create clear images of subjects in a dark area with a strongly backlit background.
The camera features electronic shutter control (ESC), flickerless mode, and autosensing power (24 VAC with internal line lock or 12 VDC with internal synchronization) and offers long distance cable compensation.
Connecting via the included 4-pin plug, the 13VD3-8 CS mount lens features a direct-drive auto iris and has 2.7x optical zoom (manual). The manual focus lens comes with a spot filter and has a focal length of 3-8mm. A relative aperture size between f/1.0 and f/360 allows the intraspot-type lens to perform across a wide range of lighting conditions.
