The Pelco Spectra IV SE 35x Heavy-duty Dome System (Environmental Pendant, Smoke Dome, Cage) includes an environmental pendant mount, a smoked dome with a protective cage and a 35x day/night camera. The indoor system offers high structural integrity and resistance to vandalism. It is suited for schools, detention centers, prisons and vandalism-prone operation areas.
The aluminum environmental pendant mount with a thick shroud and dual wall construction secures the camera and features built-in memory, heater, fan, an integrated passive UTP circuit, 2 auxiliary outputs, and 7 alarm inputs.
The smoked lower dome ensures high optical clarity and has an operating temperature of 32 -122° F. The polycarbonate dome is injection molded and is 3.5 times stronger than earlier heavy-duty domes. The aluminum trim ring has 2 barrel-type key locks to make the system more tamper-resistant.
To safeguard against vandalism, the lower dome has a black stainless-steel cage that protects the dome. Designed for minimal obstruction of the view, the dome is also removable for cleaning. The camera eliminates interference from the cage by automatically focusing through the cage bars at medium to high zoom.
A 1/4" EXview HAD image sensor in the DD4CBW35 day/night camera offers a high resolution of 540TVL with 2:1 interlace scanning. With 128x wide dynamic range, the camera provides high-quality images even in low light conditions. It has a varifocal lens with a focal length of 3.4-119 mm at f/1.4 and a 35x optical zoom.
The auto-focus feature automatically focuses the camera on to the selected object or area. Auto white balance takes a standard white color reference to adjust the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors to produce good quality images in a wide range of lighting conditions. Automatic iris control adjusts the amount of light passing through the lens. AC line lock is used to eliminate timing discrepancies in H/V sync that cause picture interruptions at the switching point. In addition to image enhancement, the camera also has electronic image stabilization that counters the vibrations caused by moving traffic or strong winds.
The unit bears the following certifications/ratings: CE-Class B, FCC-Class B, UL/cUL-listings, C-Tick, and S Mark for Argentina. The system also meets NEMA Type 1 and IP40 standards and is covered under U.S. Patents D457, 904 and D460, 978.
