The MTR-1 features an on-board emergency button for manual activation, and also features an on-board computer system which monitors the status of personal motion and physical angular orientation level conditions. In the event that a no motion condition or out of level condition is detected, the MTR-1 will automatically activate its radio transmitter to signal an alarm condition to the up to 2 miles away, and generate an audible beacon signal to serve as a location aid.The transmitter has 2 watts output and is powered by a single 9 volt alkaline battery.
