Terminus Fence Kit for corner/gate posts – SP2539
The SP2539 is usually used for corner posts. For straight sections of fence, it is often more convenient to use the SP3223 fence kit. The SP2539 is designed to be used with the SP3968 Single Zone Processor, SP3274 Four Zone Processor and the SP3273 Four Zone Expander.

Terminus UL-Listed Pass-Thru Fence Kit is for use on in-line posts with a standard fence kit available for corner/gate posts. The kits become part of the-fence and signal an alarm when someone climbs, cuts or lifts the fence fabric. Each kit
contains a shock sensor, a molded insert and a condulet housing with weep hole to vent moisture and is available with ― or ū-inch threads. The unique condulet housing eliminates T-fittings by allowing the conduit to be mounted to a fence with
minimal bending, saving labor and material costs. A fence post mounting clamp is included.

Also available is a spacer that allows the fence kit to be flush mounted on surfaces such as brick or cinder block walls, or metal buildings. Enclosed in the fence kit housing are Terminus shock sensors which contain two sets of contacts that must be activated simultaneously to signal an alarm. This dual contact technology reduces false alarms caused by failure of the single contact. The shock waves produced by an intruder cause the dual elements to momentarily bounce off gold plated electrical contacts. The multiple open circuits send a signal to a Terminus electronic processor which analyzes and then reports its status to the main alarm control panel.

Terminus processors allow the installer to separately program the system to respond only to the condition(s) deemed by the system user to be an actual alarm that requires action. Pedestrian traffic, vehicular movement or other ambient conditions are factors that can be taken into account when programming the processor, virtually eliminating nuisance alarms. The processor also allows the system user to pinpoint the area of alarm, a requirement for larger fences.

All metal components are gold plated and hermetically sealed against dust and moisture to rigid ASTM standards, eliminating corrosion from liquid or vapor contaminants. The SP3227 dual element Recessed Shock Sensor is installed flush with a window or door frame, so it remains unnoticed as it provides superior perimeter protection. The sensor flange can be painted to blend with any decor, so its perfect for residential applications, and for commercial installations where appearance is particularly important. The SP3227 may also be used in pre-wire applications. Since the sensor is recessed in the window frame, it will not be damaged during completion of construction.

In both the surface mounted SP3237 and the recessed SP3227, two sets of contacts must be activated simultaneously to signal an alarm.

This dual contact technology reduces false alarms caused by failure of the single contact. All metal components in the hermetically sealed sensor are gold plated, eliminating corrosion from liquid or vapor contaminants.

Versatile Mounting
The SP3227 may be mounted on the side, top or bottom of a window frame, and can be used with wood or metal window frames. Simply drill a 3/4" hole in the widow frame and connect the two-wire lead to the sensor loop. Push the sensor into place. The sensor is not polarity sensitive. Four raised ribs wedge the sensor into the window frame to assure a tight fit.

The Terminus Family
The SP3227 is compatible with all Terminus processors. Area coverage and sensitivity is the same as the standard SP3237. Both the recessed SP3227 and the surface mounted SP3237 may be installed in the same processor loop. Please refer to the Terminus Perimeter Shock Detection Manual for further details.
