Description
The Harrington HSPS Series Explosion Proof and Weatherproof Non-Coded Manual Pull Stations provide the most reliable manually activated input signal for early warning signaling on supervised or non-supervised alarm systems.
The HSPS Series station is UL listed for use in hazardous locations classified Class I, Groups B, C & D; Class II, Groups E,F & G; and Class III locations. It is also UL listed for use in weatherproof applications classified NEMA 4X.
The “T” pull lever, mounted on the die cast housing, is constructed of die cast aluminum, and is painted white with raised lettering painted red that reads “PULL DOWN”. When the “T” lever is activated (pulled), it allows the plunger on the contact arrangement to be activated.
The HSPS Series stations come standard with an allen wrench for locking, resetting and testing. With the “KL” option, a key is used to lock, reset or test the station.
When the “T” pull lever has been pulled, it remains protruding out from the HSPS Series station at a 90 degree angle until the die cast housing is opened by either the allen wrench of key (depending on the model being used).
When the die cast housing is opened, the “T” pull lever may be reset to the normal operating position..
The HSPS Series stations can be tested without the need to pull the “T” pull lever by using the allen wrench or key (depending on the model being used) to open the die cast housing. Opening the die cast housing allows the plunger on the contact arrangement to be activated, thus sending a signal to the control panel.
The HSPS Series station can be used with or without a break glass rod positioned in front of the “T” Pull lever. The glass rod is not needed to hold the “T” pull lever in its normal operating position.
The HSPS Series stations have an optional Dual Action feature. The Dual Action option is a metal cover that lies over the “T” pull lever. The Dual Action cover is painted red with the words “LIFT & PULL” silk screened in white.
To activate the HSPS Series Dual Action station, the Dual Action cover needs to be lifted and then the “T” pull lever can be pulled. The Dual Action cover has a brass knob located at the bottom center, which is used to lift it up.
