Description
The Wheelock Series CH Chimes and Chime Strobes minimize alarm system power supply requirements and wiring costs with a low current draw and a patented chime mounting plate for fast, easy installation. Each model has a built-in level adjustment feature and an aesthetic two (2) screw grille cover.
These unique solid-state chime appliances provide field selectable single-stroke or vibrating operation with Anechoic sound levels adjustable up to 83 dB and tone adjustable from 800 to 1200 Hz.
Strobe options for wall mount models include 1575cd or Wheelock patented MCW multi-candela strobe with field selectable candela settings of 15/30/75/110cd or the high intensity MCWH strobe with field selectable 135/185cd.
Ceiling mount models are available in Wheelock patented MCC multi-candela ceiling strobe with field selectable intensities of 15/30/75/95cd or the high intensity MCCH strobe with field selectable 115/177cd.
The strobe portion of all Series CH Chime Strobes may be synchronized when used in conjunction with the Wheelock SM, DSM Sync Modules or the Wheelock PS-24-8MC Power Supply with patented Sync Protocol. Wheelock’s synchronized strobes offer an easy way to comply with ADA recommendations concerning photosensitive epilepsy as well as meeting the requirements of NFPA 72 and UFC.
The Series CH Chime Strobes are UL Listed for indoor, wall or ceiling mount applications under Standard 1971 for Signaling Devices for the Hearing-Impaired and under Standard 464 for Private Mode Audible Signal Appliances. They are available in two attractive package styles for flush mounting to standard electrical boxes or convenient surface mounting. All models include IN/OUT wiring terminations that accept two #12 to #18 AWG wires at each terminal. Inputs are polarized for compatibility with industry standard reverse polarity supervision.

 		The Wheelock ET80 High‑candela Speaker Strobes meet the
critical needs of the life safety industry for voice and tone
signaling. They have a vandal‑resistant die‑cast grill, a
sealed‑back speaker, and a Lexan lens for extra protection.
The high‑efficiency speaker is designed for maximum
output at a minimum wattage across a frequency range of
400 Hz to 4 kHz. It covers both 25 V and 75 V audio systems
with a series of wattage taps from 0.125 W to 8 W.
When used with the SM (single) or DSM (dual)
synchronization modules, the strobe produces a
synchronized strobe flash for compliance with ADA
guidelines concerning photosensitive epilepsy. All strobe
input is compatible with standard reverse polarity
supervision of circuit wiring by a fire alarm control panel
(FACP).

Description:
Wheelock colored lens strobe notification appliances - strobes, horn strobes*, speaker strobes, and multi-tone strobes - are built with the same high quality circuits and parts used in the Cooper Wheelock life safety strobes and speakers, and are available with clear, amber or blue lenses, with other colors available through special order. The colored lens strobe products are listed under UL Standard 1638 for general signaling and the amber lenses been tested to meet UL 1971 light distribution. These appliances are suitable for indoor applications, with specific models available for outdoor and weatherproof applications. The indoor models can be wall or ceiling mounted (model dependent) to standard electrical boxes or to Wheelock’s surface mount boxes. The outdoor models can be wall mounted to standard electrical boxes or to Wheelock’s surface mount boxes. The RSS models have an integrated strobe mounting plate that can be mounted to standard electrical boxes or to Wheelock’s surface mount boxes.
The strobes have been tested to operate from 16 to 33 vdc (using filtered or FWR voltage). Intensity options for these models include multi-candela models with four field selectable settings of 15, 30, 75, and 95cd. High ceiling models can be field selectable for 115 or 177 cd.
Audible strobe appliances can be field set to provide either High (HI) dBA, Medium (MED) dBA or Low (LO) dBA sound output. Speaker strobes have field selectable input voltage of 25/70 VRMS and field selectable taps of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 and 2 watts. The Series E70-24MCC and E90-24MCC Multi-Candela provides four selectable light output intensities in one unit and incorporate a Speaker Mounting Plate attached to the speaker for ease of installation. Weatherproof speaker strobes have field selectable taps of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, and 8 watts.
All inputs are compatible with standard supervision of circuit wiring by an FACP and provide a synchronized strobe appliance when used in conjunction with a Sync Module (SM), Dual Sync Module (DSM) or Wheelock power supplies with patented sync protocol.

Applications:
The Wheelock colored lens strobe products are designed for effective alerting of employees or personnel in industrial, military or government applications. They are ideal for Mass Notification systems and for emergency, warning or trouble notification in many industrial operations.


The Wheelock NS Series 12 VDC Fixed-candela Horn Strobes have a choice of two tone patterns (continuous or temporal [Code 3] horn tones) and two sound output levels (high or low). The temporal horn pattern meets ANSI/NFPA/ISO requirements for standard emergency evacuation signaling. They also have a strobe light rated at 15 cd that provides 75 cd of light intensity on axis. These two-wire horn strobes feature low current draw at 12 VDC, filtered (FWR) or unfiltered. All inputs are polarized for compatibility with standard reverse polarity supervision of the circuit wiring by the control panel. The temporal patterns and strobes can be synchronized with an SM (single) or a DSM (dual) Synchronization Module or a compatible control panel. They have a universal mounting plate for easy wall mounting on a variety of back boxes.
