The 680-10 is an IR Remote Controlled AC Switcher with six AC outlet receptacles. It responds to RC68X Programmer IR commands via its IR input port. Each outlet is switched ON or OFF by a high current electro-mechanical relay for higher reliability than solid state switching methods.

The 686-10 is an infrared remote controlled Speaker Switcher. It allows the user to turn six stereo pairs of speakers ON and OFF by way of IR commands from a Xantech RC68+ (or RC68) Programmer. The RC68+ commands are "taught" to learning devices and passed to the 686-10 signal input terminals via Xantech IR receivers and keypads. Individual speaker pairs may be turned on or off in any particular room or all speakers turned on and off from any room for a "party mode".

The 1X4 HDMI Splitter has an EDID button which will determine if the EDID is used from the display attached to output 1 (Ext. mode) or if the onboard EDID (Int. mode) will be used. The current EDID mode can be determined by which EDID mode LED is active on the front panel. The Ext LED will indicate that the external EDID (from output port 1) is being used, and the Int LED will indicate that the internal pre-programmed EDID is being used.
