The 5800SS1 Wireless Shock Sensor mounts directly on glass surfaces. It provides excellent detection for all types of glass while eliminating false alarms and is intended for use with ADEMCO’s 5800 wireless systems only. The 5800SS1 is especially effective in acoustically hard, reverberant rooms like kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms that are prone to false alarms.
Since it is a shock sensor, the 5800SS1 is immune to the sounds that cause false alarms. Installation is a snap, just pull the battery tab to enroll the transmitter, peel the adhesive backing and mount. There’s no need to open the case for any reason except to change the battery years later.
FOR QED PANELS ONLY, 5899 MAGNET NOT INCLUDED
The 5819BRS Shock Processor Transmitters feature a built-in shock sensor and are intended for use only with a wireless alarm system that supports Ademco QED 5800 Series Wireless sensors
The built-in shock sensor is used to detect forcible attack upon the surface to which it is mounted. It is designed to protect window and door surroundings. The sensor is electrically normally closed, but, under shock conditions, goes open circuit momentarily.
Honeywell’s 5853 Wireless Glassbreak Detector offers uncompromised performance and unmatched false alarm immunity. The FlexCoreTM signal processor utilizes an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) - processing sound data in parallel rather than sequentially. This permits sound frequency, duration and amplitude to be analyzed 50% faster to minimize false alarms while maintaining the highest possible level of detection.
The 5853 can be mounted on any wall or ceiling within a 25’ range, with no minimum range limitation. The LEDs indicate test mode, alarms and trouble conditions. It is compatible with all 5800 series wireless devices.
