The NSEKR is an expansion kit with readers that adds two doors to an existing NStar installation. The kit contains the NS2 controller (NS2), locking enclosure (ENC10), NS2 accessory kit (NS2ACC), two HID compatible OmniProx readers (OP10HONE), transformer (X-4) and two suppressor kits (S-4). The N-485-API-2 interface converts the 20mA current loop supplied by the N-1000-II to an RS485 signal which can be used on the multi-drop line. Northerns RS485 multi-drop line can support usp to 31 RS485 nodes per COM port system.The N-485-PCI-2 and N-485-HUB-2 interfaces convert RS485 to RS232, and both come with plug-in power supply. The N-485-PCI-2 is used at the computer for a direct connect system. The N-485-HUB-2 is utilized with an auto-dial modem at a remote location.
