DiBos 19 inch Digital Video Recorders - Version 8 (AMEC)

  • Hybrid analog/IP MPEG4 digital video recorder
  • Models for 6, 12, 18, 24 and 30 analog cameras and up to 32 additional network cameras/video encoders
  • View/record video at CIF/2CIF/4CIF resolution
  • Web-browser remote access and viewing

New features to Bosch Security Systems’ DiBos family of Digital Video Recorder and Transmission Systems for CCTV surveillance have enhanced performance and ease of use.

The new MPEG-4 technology provides smaller file sizes with higher frame rates and better image quality. Data storage efficiency has increased providing substantial savings in archiving costs.

The new Pentaplex feature allows the connection of a total of 62 cameras to one DiBos system to give maximum flexibility – the DiBos can view live images, record, search and view recorded images and download via local network or Internet and export images to external recording devices.

The new user interface not only gives a sophisticated ‘look and feel’, but also improves ease of use. DiBos is designed for fast and convenient installation with ‘plug-and-play’ set-up – simply unpack the system from its box, connect the cameras and switch on. DiBos then shows all cameras connected to it and recording can start.

An additional feature is the unique Bilinx interface. Bilinx uses conventional coax, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and fibre-optic video transmission links. DiBos has the Bilinx capability integrated: it enables the user to remote customize camera settings and to control Autodome cameras, only via coax cable. No additional control cables or converters are necessary. This saves installation, set-up time and costs too. These are also major advantages in installations where cameras are mounted in difficult-to-access places or where operation would otherwise be interrupted by servicing.

DiBos is available in two main versions. The 19-inch rack-mount version is for larger installations requiring up to 62 video channels (30 analogue and 32 network), up to 42 audio channels (10 analogue and 32 network) and up to 1,600 GB internal storage capacity. The DiBos Micro is a desktop unit for installations that require up to 20 video channels, 12 audio channels and 400 GB internal storage capacity. The DiBos Receiver/IP-Recorder receives alarm images from remote DiBos units or IP network devices over a LAN, ISDN or the public telephone network.

This DVR includes a rack-mount kit for installing in a standard 19" rack.

    Key Features

    6 Camera Inputs with Multiplexer

The DVR accepts up to 6 NTSC or PAL analog security cameras for simultaneous recording, playback and archiving.

Multi-Image Display with Manual and Sequential Switching

Cameras can be viewed in full screen one at a time or in various blocks of up to 6 cameras on one screen. Switching between cameras can be done manually or by programming the DVR to auto switch at regular intervals.

Remote Internet Operation with Bilinx Technology

By logging on to a remote Internet computer, an administrator can view cameras and recorded images as well as control the pan, tilt and zoom functions of PTZ enabled dome cameras. Additionally, this model supports Bosch's unique Bilinx technology, allowing a user to send various communication signals including PTZ dome camera control signals to wired cameras over the standard video coaxial cable.

160GB Hard Drive with Built-In DVD Burner

The DVR comes equipped with a 160GB HDD and features a disk manager menu offering real time information on recording status, disk capacity, used space and recording time left. Programmable Recording with Motion Detection

The DVR can be programmed to record based on various factors such as on a time or date basis, at the event of an alarm, when triggered by motion detection or by external sensors. Motion detection is fully configurable for area and sensitivity.

    Password Protection and Video Authentication

Each video frame can be checked for authenticity in the disk manager menu. Authenticated video footage can then be archived in an overwrite protection section of the hard drive to preserve its integrity. Additionally, this unit requires a password entry to access various functions, including remote Internet use and opening certain critical menus.

    Digital Zoom

For stationary cameras that don't have physical zoom capabilities, this DVR offers a 4x digital zoom to bring an object into close view.

    Optional ATM/POS and Keyboard

Various optional devices are available to enhance the functionality of this DVR. These include an ATM/POS bridge that allows financial transactions details to be recorded in tandem with the video footage, making it ideal for use in cash register and similar point-of-sale based applications. Also available is an optional Bosch KBD universal keyboard, which allows an administrator to control fixed, AutoDome or PTZ cameras from an on-site location.

    Divar - Digital Video Recorder

    ▶ 6, 9 & 16-channel versions
    ▶ Bilinx communication optional
▶ Simultaneous recording, playback & archiving
    ▶ AutoDome control
    ▶ Smart motion search
    ▶ Authenticated images for evidence
▶ Multiple Divar ‘control center’ for remote operation
▶ Internal or external DVD writer
The Bosch Divar digital versatile recorder series are extremely compact, low profile units that combine advanced digital recording and multiplexing, not only saving space, but ensuring integrated functionality. The Divar has been designed with both operator and installer in mind, by making the unit easy to use and install, and maintenance free. The Divar allows simultaneous recording and playback of video images. “Overwrite protection” of marked video clips prevents the loss of vital material.
The images per second (IPS) record rate and image quality are selectable for each connected camera. This makes it possible to prioritize recording between high-risk areas and low risk areas. By having a higher refresh rate only for critical or high-risk security areas, considerable hard disk space can be saved. Recording rates of 50 IPS (PAL) or 60 IPS (NTSC) are guaranteed, without the need for synchronization.
As well as control of external alarm inputs, the Divar's motion detector triggers an alarm when movement in a user-definable area of the image is detected. Smart motion search can be used for easy retrieval of motion that has taken place within a user-specified part of the image during a specified time-span. The Divar is expandable with an optional keyboard, allowing AutoDome control as well as enhanced playback control. Where video is required for evidence of an incident, it is simple to archive the video with a dedicated PC player for playback of the secure video files to a DVD or CD with the internal or external DVD writer. The Divar uses video authentication that can automatically detect any alteration of the recorded video.
For easy installation, a “Quick install” feature is included. Additionally, on-screen menus are provided in several languages and context sensitive help is always available by just pushing the yellow button. A configuration tool is supplied to simplify setting up a system using a PC. Because Divar is available with Bilinx, functions usually requiring hands-on access to a camera now use the video cable to communicate with Bilinx cameras. Owing to its high degree of integrated functionality, the Divar can be the central element in a self-contained security system with up to 256 cameras. Because the Divar is fully compatible with any standard 10/100 Base-T network, it is ideal for distributed security surveillance systems.
An optional ATM/POS bridge enables financial transaction details to be recorded together with video. This makes the Divar suitable for use at cash dispensers, check out desks and other similar applications where it is sometimes necessary to verify or identify what happened during a particular transaction.
