The circuitry and tone card are contained in dust and moisture proof sealed housing of die-cast aluminum. An internal gain control allows for volume adjustment. The amplified speaker is Listed for indoor and outdoor use, is NEMA 3 rated, and is finished in red enamel. Model ASHH Amplified Speakers operate at 24 VDC and are polarized for connection to system supervised alarm notification circuits.
Application
The PowerTone Amplified Speaker is well suited for signaling in hazardous areas with high ambient noise levels and where a unique audible signal is required. The speaker is suitable for use in National Electrical Code (NFPA 70); Class I, Groups A, B, C, and D, Division 2; Class II, Groups F, G, Division 2; Class III hazardous locations. When used in conjunction with the PowerTone Signaling System and PTCK25 connector card, the speaker can produce multiple tones for various signal requirements. For single tone applications the PowerTone Signaling System or universal tone card may be used. The speaker may be used with any compatible 25 or 70Vrms audio system by using the PTCK25 or PTCK70 connector card. The speaker can be indoor or outdoor mounted. The ASHH is NEMA 3 rated.

    Each glass globe has a cast iron guard for protection against external damage. The LSEX-W Series is wall mounted and LSEX-C is ceiling mounted. They both utilize an explosion proof junction box with (4) ½” conduit openings. The junction box is standard with all LSEX explosion proof strobes.

    Description
    The PowerTone Model MSHP (High Power) and MSLP (Low Power) Mini- Speakers are designed to reproduce electronically generated warning tones as well as full range voice communication. The Mini-Speakers are designed for 25Vrms UL Listed fire alarm systems and have a wide frequency response.
     
    The mini-speakers have a supervisory capacitor for connection to supervised alarm notification circuits. PowerTone Mini-Speakers operate at 1 watt (MSHP) and 3/4 watt (MSLP). Speaker faceplates are available with a red or white finish.

    Applications
    The PowerTone Mini-speakers produce a broad frequency range which provides both the low and high fidelity response required for effective tone and voice alarm notification. PowerTone Mini- Speakers are available in red or white. Single gang plate models mount to a single gang electrical 4" square electrical box with a single gang raised plaster extension ring.
     
    Double gang plate (strobe) models can be mounted to a single gang, double gang, or 4" square electrical box. The compact design and range of mounting configurations permit the minispeakers to fit many applications.
