The VideoJet 10 features high quality MPEG-4 video at up to 30 images per second, and two-way audio over IP networks. Supporting PAL/NTSC and CCIR/EIA sources, it is available in two models either, as an encoder or decoder.
The video signal can be received and displayed with a standard web browser or VIDOS video management software. Using a decoder you can integrate point-to-point connections into your system, to display video from any camera on your analog monitors.
The VideoJet 10 offers a Compact Flash slot. When used with a memory card, it provides low cost storage to take advantage of Automatic Network Replenishment, providing resilience against network outages. This storage is also highly reliable since there are no moving parts, making it well suited to mobile CCTV applications. Alternately, the slot accommodates an optional wireless card, for optimal flexibility in positioning the encoder and camera. The wireless card follows the popular 802.11b standard.
The VideoJet 10 supports remote control of popular PTZ cameras, domes, and multiplexers. It includes sophisticated motion detection and pre-alarm recording, to conserve bandwidth and centralized storage. With alarm, relay, and two serial port connections, the unit provides the ideal mechanism to remotely manage events via the network.
The VideoJet 8008 delivers the highest quality real-time video available today. Its advanced hardware engine produces 30 images per second of pure MPEG-4 video in DVD-like quality. This power is further multiplied by incorporating multiple encoders within the single unit, delivering eight full-motion video channels. Each channel generates non-multiplexed video at 30 IPS.
The video can be viewed on a standard PC using the VIDOS video management software or a web browser.
Alternatively, when used in conjunction with a highperformance MPEG-4 hardware decoder (such as the VIP XD), you can create point-to-point hybrid analog/digital solutions. This technology uses the highest quality analog cameras and analog CCTV monitors, but with a pure IP solution in-between.
The VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG-4 encoder features three key recording modes. The simplest mode is continuous ring or linear recording. The alarm-sensitive mode also runs continuously. A pre-/post-alarm option preserves a short segment of video just before and after the alarm. Up to 128 events per camera can be recorded. When the installation is completed with VIDOS video management software, VIDOS can automatically increase the frame rate during the alarm to capture events in detail, while saving capacity on irrelevant footage.
The VideoJet 8008’s internal hard disk records weeks at a time locally, or for more extended recording periods it can use the VIDOS-NVR network video recorder. Such an NVR server has RAID5 disk arrays attached for maximum fault tolerance and a storage capacity of over 36 TB.
The VideoJet 8008 with its Dual Streaming technology can encode the video input signal in two different ways in parallel. For example in 4CIF resolution with 1 IPS for recording, and in CIF with 25 IPS for live viewing at a workstation with software decoder or a hardware monitor.
Depending on the application, other combinations are also possible.
Audio models provide a single bidirectional audio channel that can be connected to one out of the 8 available video channels and, due to built-in amplifiers, directly to drive speakers and to a Siedle TLM611 intercom device. Audio input and output can be selected independently from each other, for example listening to channel 3 while talking through channel 8.
The VideoJet 8008 is powerful enough to simultaneously allow MPEG-4 live viewing, recording and playback or backup. With eight channels in a rack-mountable 1HU form factor it offers the highest port density at this quality of video. Combined with a complete set of security and distributed system management features it is the market's most powerful, highest quality MPEG-4 encoder and recorder.
Rugged environments VideoJet X encoders are ideal for outdoor applications such as perimeter, border and fence control, as well as for industrial applications where they are tolerant of harsh environments.
When used at remote locations you benefit from their wide 10 to 30 VDC power input range, so that they can be battery or solar powered. You also benefit from their SFP slot that allows a direct connection to a fiber interface module without the need for external fiber hardware.
Their industrial-grade vibration resistance makes these encoders extremely suitable for use in mobile applications such as trains, busses or other vehicles.
Viewing View the VideoJet X encoder video on a PC using a web browser, in VIDOS, in the Bosch Video Management System or integrate it into another video management system. By routing the IP video to a high performance VIP XD video decoder or a VIDOS monitor wall, you can present the video with ultimate clarity.
Dual streaming The VideoJet X encoders use dual streaming to generate two independent IP video streams per channel. This allows viewing and recording at two different quality levels to save disk space and bandwidth. On alarm, they can send an e‑mail with JPEG images attached.
Flexibility VideoJet X encoders offer unparalleled recording flexibility. Stream video across the network and store it using Network Video Recorders (NVRs). Record locally on internal RAM, CompactFlash or use an optional automotive-grade internal hard drive. Network-attached RAID5 iSCSI storage devices can also be used. The built-in iSCSI support enables the VideoJet X encoders to act as conventional DVRs while streaming high performance live video across the network. Additional USB interfaces allow future connectivity via WAN or Wireless LAN networks to cover applications that will be used at the edge.
