The ELK-M1XZW is a radio transceiver interface designed to allow an M1 Controller to interface with Z-Wave enabled devices. Z-Wave technology is a wireless bi-directional communications network consisting of devices such as: Plug-in Dimmer Modules, Wall Mount Switches and Dimmers, Plug-in Appliance Modules, Motion/Occupancy Sensors, and HVAC Thermostats. The M1XZW interface functions as a Z-Wave Secondary Controller OR as a Z-Wave Static Update Controller (SUC) for holding the Z-Wave system setup programming. The interface connects to the M1 RS-485 data bus and is enrolled and identified as a Type 5 Expander. As such, it may be remotely located anywhere along the RS-485 data bus within the maximum stated distance limits. The housing is designed for wall mounting and includes mounting screws and anchors. The ELK-TS07 is a 7" touchscreen that operates with M1 or EZ8 controls. It features a bright TFT display, powerful microprocessor, and built-in ElkRM Remote Management Software to satisfy the most discriminating taste. The easy to use graphical interface is designed to simplify the operation of both automation and security. As a Windows CE device, the TS07 is actually a small computer. It has a CAT5 modular Ethernet port connector on the back which allows it to be connected directly to a LAN (local area network) router/switch. Connection to an ELK-M1 or M1EZ8 Control panel is accomplished by the addition of an ELK-M1XEP Ethernet Interface (separate purchase) which installs between the controls main serial port and the LAN. For ultimate ease of installation, the TS07 features PoE (Power over Ethernet) compliance. All thats needed is a PoE compliant LAN router/switch or a mid span injector device to be able to power the touchscreen directly through the same CAT5 Ethernet cable that connects it to the network! Just think, no more wasted time hunting for a convenient AC outlet or running additional DC power wires! Mid span injectors and router/switches with PoE technology are the latest innovation and can be bought at most computer supply stores. For cases where PoE is not readily available, the TS07 is packaged with a plug-in 110VAC to 12VDC 4 Amp Power Supply. When connected to a LAN that has high speed Internet service, the TS07 is fully capable of internet browsing. Internet Explorer is pre-installed as part of the Windows CE operating system. Think about it, you can surf the web just like a standard PC, and, with the built-in ElkRM software, you can set up "Links" for easy access to frequently visited websites. Out of the box the TS07, with the ElkRM software, allows you to view video imagery from certain brands* of IP accessible cameras and DVR recorders, with no additional hardware to purchase! The ELK-TS071 is an
in-wall mount 7 LCD color touchscreen designed to operate with
the M1Gold and M1EZ8 controls. It features a super bright TFT
display, powerful microprocessor, and includes Elks Remote
Management Software (RMS) The easy to use graphical interface is
designed to simplify the operation of both security and
automation. Its low profile design satisfies the most
discriminating taste.
This touchscreen
connects to an M1Gold or M1EZ8 control over a local network via
its on-board Ethernet port (ELK-M1XEP required to connect the
M1Gold or M1EZ8 control to network). When connected to a LAN that
has high speed internet service, the TS071 is fully capable of
internet browsing. Internet Explorer is pre-installed as part of
the Windows CE operating system.
The RMS software
allows control of many aspects of the system including security,
lighting, climate, outputs, audio etc. The software also permits
viewing of video imagery from certain brands of IP access cameras
and DVRs*, with no additional equipment to purchase! RMS also
allows access to up-to-date weather and traffic information and
provides "Links" for easy access to frequently visited
websites. The TS071 is the
successor to the older TS07 touchscreen and utilizes a smaller
rough opening, [7.5 x 5.38] vs. [8 x 6.31]. A small
quantity of TS07 units are available
while supplies last. IMPORTANT NOTE: The ELK-TS071 cannot be used directly with a POE switch or hub. To power via POE over network cabling, order the
ELK-TS071P which includes a PoE injector and splitter, or purchase the POE injector and splitter separately (ELK-POE12K).
