The MCR-308 is compatible with all Visonic PowerCode™ and CodeSecure™ devices – including hand-held and portable units, window/door transmitters and a variety of detectors and other devices. The MCR-308 has 4 zones, each accommodating up to 4 transmitter devices.
It is easily expanded using up to three MCX-8 zone expanders, for a total of 28 zones and 112 wireless devices in a single system. Dry contact outputs can be provided, using the RL-8 relay module that converts 8 open collector outputs to dry contact outputs. The MCR-308 is designed for wireless alarm, emergency and arm/ disarm applications as well as for remote control applications. It is easy to install and program utilizing a unique "Easy Learn" technique for transmitter enrolment. It provides all the features that professionals require, including four additional outputs for low battery reporting, tamper protection, RF signal jamming and transmitter inactivity indication. When used with CodeSecure™ devices, the MCR-308 implements a rolling code encryption algorithm to prevent "code grabbing" by potential intruders trying to defeat the security system. This highly reliable and versatile receiver is available in several optional frequencies in compliance with European, U.S. and other international standards, and is approved for use by local authorities in most countries. MCR-308 Features:
The MCX-8 is an 8-zone output expander designed to increase the number of outputs of the MCR-308 wireless receiver. Up to three MCX-8 expanders, with eight "open collector" outputs each, can be added to the MCR-308 via a supervised communication bus. Dry contact outputs can be provided if needed, using the RL-8 relay module that converts 8 open collector outputs to dry contact outputs.
For maximum convenience, the expander modules can be installed either close to the receiver or at the control panel end, with a distance of up to 1 kilometer (0.62 mile) between the receiver and the expanders. The MCR-308 receiver continuously monitors the communication bus, issuing inactivity alerts in case the connection is interrupted.
The MCX-8's printed circuit board is enclosed in a plastic cabinet for easy installation and added protection. The base can accommodate one or two MCX-8 units, or an MCX-8 and an MCR-308 unit. For tamper protection, an on-board switch is activated when the front cover is removed.
The RL-8 is an 8-relay (reed type) "open collector to dry contact" adapter, designed as an interface unit between the outputs of the MCR-308 wireless receiver and alarm control panel zone inputs.
Similarly, the RL-8 can serve as a suitable output interface for other electronic security devices that have open-collector outputs. Operating power for the RL-8 is obtained from the same source that supplies input voltage to the MCR-308.
For maximum security, the MCX-600 repeater uses a unique, factory programmed, randomly selected 24-bit digital alarm ID code during each transmission. This code is selected from 16 million possible code combinations and is therefore unique and virtually impossible to accidentally reproduce.
Other important benefits of the MCX-600 include the unique anti-collision transmission sequence, which ensures accurate reception of simultaneous signals from multiple transmitters. The fully supervised repeater issues a test report on an hourly basis, indicating faults such as power failure, low battery charge and tampering.
Powered by 13-20 VDC or 11-16 VDC power supply, the MCX-600 uses a 9-Volt nickel cadmium rechargeable battery as a backup in case of power failure. MCX-600 Features:
